On Thursday, Nov. 30 in Westbury, the man, who appeared to be in his mid-40s, approached the two 14-year-old girls, Nassau County Police said.
It was about 4:30 p.m. near the intersection of Post Avenue and Union Avenue when he began to make a move on the pair, following them as they headed south on Post Avenue.
However, the man spotted one of the victim’s parents, turned around, and ran north on Post toward Old Westbury, according to police.
He was wearing a black jacket and tan pants.
